Wiki Education, in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA“), as amended by the ADA Amendments Act, is committed to full inclusion of qualified persons with disabilities, as such referenced in the ADA, and prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability status, race, color, national origin, age, gender, gender identity, height, marital status, political persuasion, religion, sexual orientation, veteran status, or weight in each of its programs and activities.

Wiki Education is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to ensure equal opportunities and access to educational programming. A person who is participating in a Wiki Education program has the responsibility to identify themselves as a person with a disability needing appropriate, reasonable accommodations in a timely manner. The request may also come from a third party asking for accommodation on behalf of the individual. The participant should specify what accommodations are being requested via an email to the program manager for the Wiki Education program in which they are participating.

Wiki Education will promptly determine the reasonableness of the accommodations requested by the participant. If an accommodation would cause undue hardship for Wiki Education, the participant and program manager will work together in good faith to determine reasonable alternatives that would not cause an undue hardship to enable participation. This interactive process may include a determination of whether the participant is covered by the ADA, a request for information about the extent of the impairment, including notes from doctors and other health care providers, and a request of medical testing relevant to the impairment at issue.

Wiki Education will respect a participant’s request for confidentiality regarding all information about their disability. Persons participating through a collaboration with another organization may also receive accommodations provided by that institution in accordance with their policies.
