Election editing workshop – October 23rd

Editing Wikipedia is more important than ever — a recent NYT article highlighted how elections content newly published to Wikipedia can show up in an AI chatbot’s answer within 12 minutes. We are a running a series of free workshops, leading up to the 2026 midterm elections in the United States.

If you have ever wondered about editing Wikipedia, this is a perfect opportunity to try. We will provide some editing tips, check your content before it goes live, and make some meaningful edits to election-related articles.

The Wiki Scholars workshop details

What is a Wiki Scholars workshop? We teach subject matter how to edit Wikipedia. We’ll take a deep dive into Wikipedia’s coverage of civics and elections, live editing high-quality information to Wikipedia to inform the public.

You’ll meet weekly to commune with Wikipedia editors and a close-knit group of 10-20 peers.
