RockMagnetist is a Visiting Scholar at the Deep Carbon Observatory for 2017-2018, improving Wikipedia’s coverage of topics relevant to deep carbon science. Outside of Wikipedia, he is an Associate Research Professor in the Marine, Earth, and Atmospheric Sciences department at North Carolina State University, specializing in rock magnetism.
