In August, the Wiki Education Foundation is hosting a four-week session introducing Wikipedia to psychology instructors. You’ll create or contribute to Wikipedia articles at your own pace, with weekly video conference hours to help you with any questions that come up along the way.
We’ll provide our expertise on topics including:
- Editing basics, the fundamentals of contributing content
- Understanding sourcing concerns, particularly, where Wikipedia’s standards of evidence may differ from your field’s standards.
- Understanding conflicts of interest, especially when writing about your own field of expertise or citing your own work.
- The norms and expectations behind policies and guidelines on Wikipedia that affect how content is written and edited.
