Accepted applicants will engage in the virtual course from January to March 2019, meeting weekly to improve Wikipedia’s coverage of women’s suffrage.
The $1,800 cost of this opportunity covers a certificate issued by the National Archives and Wiki Education, access to hands-on support from Wikipedia experts and peers, and technical training so you can successfully contribute to Wikipedia.
- No experience with Wikipedia is required or expected.
- Participants commit 3 hours/week, including training and online meetings.
- Participants will make significant contributions to at least two Wikipedia articles related to women’s suffrage by the end of the course.
- Participants will fill out short surveys at the beginning and end of the course and may be asked to write one reflective blog post (on wikiedu.org) about their experience.
